Unlock Research Opportunities in Japan: JFSEAP Fellowship for ASEAN Scholars

The Japan Foundation (JF) is pleased to announce a new fellowship program, with the aim to support for the next generation of researchers and experts from ASEAN who are tackling global common issues faced by Japan and ASEAN.

The JF Southeast Asia Partnership (JFSEAP) Visiting Fellowship (Inbound) program offers researchers from ASEAN countries the opportunity to conduct policy-oriented research in Japan. The program focuses on addressing common global issues between Japan and ASEAN, such as climate change, economic security, and public health. Fellows are hosted by top Japanese institutions, receive benefits such as stipends and allowances, and are expected to contribute to Japan-ASEAN relations. Applications for FY2025 are due by December 2, 2024.

The JF Southeast Asia Partnership (JFSEAP) Visiting Fellowship offers several benefits, including financial support through stipends, housing, and travel allowances. Participants can deepen their research on issues relevant to ASEAN-Japan relations, such as environmental sustainability and public health, while collaborating with top Japanese research institutions. This provides an excellent opportunity to network, gain cultural insights, and contribute to policy development, enhancing both professional expertise and bilateral relations.
