The National University of Singapore (NUS), Singapore’s flagship university, announced the launch of its first Science Summer Institute (SSI). The event will run from July 2 to July 11, 2024 and is part of NUS’ efforts to facilitate international exchange and engagement in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM).
SSI is a landmark initiative designed to bring together the region’s final-year students for an intensive STEM experience and immersion at the forefront of research and development (R&D). During the 10-day SSI, participants will get the opportunity to learn from plenary lectures by renowned scientists, interact with passionate scientist educators, and work through real-world problems in experiential practice classes.
The SSI Symposium will also be held on the last two days of the event, providing a platform for participants to showcase their research work and creativity and interact with other Symposium participants.
NUS hopes that this SSI program will be a catalyst for their talented participants towards further studies in STEM fields. With this invitation, NUS hopes that your University will consider nominating and supporting your deserving students to participate in this inaugural SSI.
