Congratulations to Thomas Argyarich Jefferson, a Master\u2019s student, in the Department of Biology, Universitas Padjadjaran, on his latest publication entitled \u201cThe microbiome as the second genome: engineering the phytobiome for climate-resilient agriculture\u201d which was published in the Journal of Plant Interactions (Scopus Q1 journal). Thomas is supervised by Febri Doni, Ph.D and Dr. Mia Miranti from the Department of Biology, Universitas Padjadjaran, and in collaboration with Mehrdad Alizadeh, Ph.D (Tarbiat Modares University) as an international collaborator.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It emphasizes how climate change disrupts plant\u2013microbe interactions and proposes an innovative framework for phytobiome engineering. The paper also underscores the importance of multi-omics, artificial intelligence, and predictive modeling in developing data-driven approaches for sustainable agriculture, while addressing challenges in field-scale implementation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
