Mikroalga diketahui mampu menyerap karbondioksida dari udara dan mengubahnya menjadi <strong>biofuel<\/strong>\u2014suatu inovasi penting dalam upaya mitigasi perubahan iklim. Penyebabnya adalah <strong>tingginya kandungan nutrien<\/strong> yang terbawa dari area pertanian sekitar, terutama saat musim hujan. Efek dari blooming ini tidak hanya mengganggu ekosistem, tetapi juga membuat <strong>zoobenthos<\/strong> (hewan dasar perairan) menjadi toksik dan berbahaya untuk dikonsumsi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Inovasi Pemisahan Alga<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sebagai solusi, dikembangkan metode <strong>pemisahan alga<\/strong> dengan pendekatan ramah lingkungan. Alga ditarik ke dalam media <strong>koagulan<\/strong>, lalu digunakan <strong>jamur tempe (Rhizopus spp.)<\/strong> untuk membantu penggumpalan biomassa alga. Setelah itu, alga yang terkumpul dapat disaring menggunakan penyaring kasar untuk kemudian diolah menjadi biofuel. Tri Dewi Kusumaningrum Pribadi, M.Si memoderatori kegiatan kuliah tamu<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Kasus nyata juga dipaparkan, seperti penyebaran <strong>Hydrilla<\/strong>, tumbuhan air non-native yang mudah blooming dan mengganggu kestabilan danau. Dalam studi lapangan, salah satu danau bahkan sempat dikeringkan untuk menelusuri spesies invasif penyebab blooming. Setelah pembersihan, danau tersebut diisi ulang dan dihidupkan kembali dengan <strong>spesies asli (native)<\/strong> sebagai bentuk pemulihan ekosistem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Ancaman Spesies Invasif di Perairan<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Masuk ke bagian inti materi, Dr. Faizal menjelaskan bahwa <strong>spesies invasif adalah spesies asing yang tidak berasal dari lingkungan asli namun mampu bertahan hidup dan mengganggu spesies lokal<\/strong>. Ikan bandaraya diketahui sebagai spesies invasif berbahaya karena menggali lubang untuk bertelur di tebing atau bendungan, sehingga berisiko menyebabkan banjir. Selain itu, ikan ini juga memakan ikan kecil lokal dan belum ditemukan <strong>predator alami lokal<\/strong> yang mampu mengendalikan populasinya.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sebagai langkah kreatif, masyarakat diajak untuk ikut serta dalam <strong>event memancing massal spesies invasif<\/strong>. Ikan-ikan yang tertangkap kemudian tidak dibuang, melainkan diolah menjadi <strong>produk bermanfaat<\/strong> seperti pupuk kompos atau pakan untuk ikan dan kucing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Sesi Tanya Jawab: Peran Mahasiswa dan Upaya Pencegahan<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dalam sesi diskusi, peserta menanyakan bagaimana cara <strong>mencegah masuknya spesies invasif<\/strong>. Mahasiswa dapat berkontribusi melalui kampanye lingkungan, sosialisasi kepada masyarakat, dan membangun kesadaran agar tidak melepas spesies asing ke lingkungan bebas. Langkah kecil seperti ini dapat menjadi bagian penting dalam <strong>mengatasi dampak perubahan iklim<\/strong> dan menjaga keberlanjutan ekosistem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cMinimal, jangan melakukan hal-hal yang dapat merusak ekosistem. Edukasi dan tindakan kecil bisa memberikan dampak besar jika dilakukan bersama,\u201d ujar Dr. Faizal menutup sesi kuliah.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Kuliah tamu ini memberikan wawasan menyeluruh tentang tantangan ekologi yang sering tidak terlihat, namun berdampak besar.
