Inovasi ini berjudul &#8220;<strong>Rawramie: Inovasi Serat Alam Rami (<em>Boehmeria nivea<\/em>) sebagai Material Maju Berkelanjutan yang Berkualitas dan Ramah Lingkungan<\/strong>&#8220;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Karya inovasi ini dikembangkan oleh dosen-dosen dari Departemen Biologi Unpad, yaitu <strong>Asri Peni Wulandari, M.Sc., Ph.D<\/strong>, <strong>Joko Kusmoro, Drs., M.P.<\/strong>, dan <strong>Ruly Budiono, M.S., Ph.D<\/strong>. Selain itu, karya ini dikembangkan juga oleh <strong>Abdul Rohmat<\/strong> dan <strong>Ulyaa Rachmawati<\/strong> sebagai alumni dan mahasiswa magister dari Departemen Biologi Unpad, serta peneliti-peneliti dari BRIN. Selain itu, teknologi ini juga meningkatkan stabilitas termal dan daya tahan serat terhadap kelembapan, menjadikannya lebih tahan lama serta multifungsi untuk berbagai aplikasi industri.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Menurut para peninjau dari BIC, inovasi ini membuka peluang besar bagi pemanfaatan serat rami dalam industri tekstil fungsional, komposit biomaterial, hingga sektor otomotif dan konstruksi. Selain menawarkan alternatif material ramah lingkungan, pengembangan produk berbasis serat rami juga berpotensi mengurangi ketergantungan terhadap impor bahan baku tekstil di Indonesia.
